In the name of Allah most Gracious Most Merciful
I thought to begin this blog with a some Quran on the importance of Hijab. Putting on Hijab in itself is a submission to God. It is stated in the Quran:
'And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.' (S24:31)
When wearing Hijab you are benefiting in many ways. First of all you are obeying what Allah (SWT) has asked of you. Wearing Hijab is a form of honor and respect. Your hijab is a shield that guards and gives you refuge. The Hijab also gives you an identity. When wearing your hijab people will automatically know you are a Muslim. The hijab gives you the confidence to get through whatever comes your way. That is because you wear it for the sake of Allah (SWT), so Allah (SWT) will be with you. With Allah on your side, nothing can stand in your way.
So wear your Hijab, stand tall, look beautiful, and be proud.
